Making your systems work together
Much manual work sits between systems. Depending on what a system allows, I use an integration (systems exchange data directly), a file exchange or a software robot (works in your existing screens, like an employee). The process decides. How I compare the options.
ERP integrations
Exchanging orders, items, prices and statuses between the ERP and other programs, portals or Excel. With checks, so no duplicate or half-finished data appears.
From PDM or PLM to ERP
PDM or PLM is the system for drawings and product data. After release in engineering, the item, bill of materials (the parts a product is made of) and revision go into the ERP without retyping. If you want the process planner to check first, that is possible. More about manufacturing

Is your process suitable?
Four questions give a first impression. You do not need to answer ‘yes’ to all of them: the doubts are exactly what we discuss in the first call.
- Can you explain what must happen, including the exceptions? The number of rules does not matter. What matters is whether the desired behaviour can be described without ambiguity.
- Does the work come back often enough? Then the time saved outweighs building and maintenance.
- Is the data digital and reliable? An automation is only as good as the data that goes into it.
- Can an automation reach your systems? Through an integration, an export or the screen, with the right permissions.
